Cervical Spine

Description
This two-day cervical spine course comprises an integrated manual therapy approach to the treatment of neck pain. The focus of examination and treatment is on the articular, neural, and motor systems, particularly of the C2-7 region. Essential background theory is covered, but the emphasis is on practical sessions. The content draws on work by many key manual therapists including Maitland, Edwards, Mulligan, Elvey, and Jull. Case studies are used to develop clinical reasoning and illustrate common clinical conditions. The evidence informing clinical practice is highlighted throughout the course.

The ratio of participants to tutors is kept low (maximum of 12:1) to ensure a high level of supervision and feedback.

Comments from previous course participants:

Have learnt a lot that I can take straight into my clinical practice.

Lots of practical and one to one observation and feedback.

I really enjoyed this course, good balance between theory/evidence based practice, and practical.

Excellent lecturer.
